Hi, Welcome to my homeschool blog. I started blogging to share our homeschool life with our family and friends that live far away. I also thought it would be a fun past time for myself. My husband, Alex, and I have 5 boys. We have been married almost 14 years and homeschooling for about 10. We have used a variety of curriculum over the years trying to figure out what would work best for our children. We are currently using My Father's World for our younger two and Sonlight for our older 3. We use Alpha Omega for math for the two of our boys and our oldest son will be using Teaching Textbooks Algebra I this year. Our two youngest do a relax math program that is part of their main curriculum. Since my husband is a musician the boys have played guitar (base, acoustic and electric), drums (including bongos and congas), keyboard and even harmonic. They are not proficient necessarily but the opportunity to learn is there. We also use MusicAce for a music curriculum. Our whole family will be using Learnables Spanish curriculum this year for the first time. We are excited to begin! As I said before my husband is a musician and also a pastor of a small church. I am his helper and do the extras that need to be done for Sunday morning (like putting together a powerpoint). I have also led several women's Bible studies and will be starting a new one in a few weeks on the book of Esther. Thank you for visiting us!
