I just wanted to take a moment to say hi. I am Karol's friend in CA. I homeschool my 16 year old son and graduated my 20 year old from our homeschool two years ago. Karol sent me your blog address yesterday and I have enjoyed reading it. God Bless! Michelle

Wow, your kids do a lot! Perhaps it looks busier when you put everyone together in one paragraph. But *you* will be busy, for sure: five boys.

I used Sonlight Church History last year for my three students: 12th, 11th, and 8th. I found the history books fascinating and enjoyed reading everything; the girls did not. One book the girls did like, though, was _What if Jesus Had Never Been Born_ because it explained how people thought before Christianity. Having been raised in a Christian culture, it was eye-opening for them to see that people have not always valued children or the poor.

You're so right about each child needing something differently, whether it is how they learn or how they need to be parented. Having a large family doesn't make it easier to figure out, but maybe harder? because we have to change 5, 6, and 7 times! Yes, stretching and growing . . . Heavenly Father's plan for us!
